Bonnie Sweeney
Licensed PsychologistWelcome to My Practice
My name is Bonnie, and I am a psychologist with over 25 years of experience in the health and wellness field. I am a PhD candidate in neuroscience at Valencia University, focusing on empathy and its role in behavior and emotional regulation.
I hold a degree in psychology from Ireland, a Master’s in Investigative Psychology from England, and Master’s degrees in Clinical and Health Psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from Spain. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, eating and personality disorders, grief, and relationship challenges, including couples counseling.
In addition to clinical practice, I have published research on a variety of topics, including “The Impact of Social Media Addiction on Mental Health,” “Weight Bias and Discrimination in Healthcare Settings,” and “The Rise in Domestic Abuse During the COVID-19 Pandemic.” I am passionate about exploring innovations in mental health care and finding new ways to improve the well-being of my clients.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative and tailored to each client’s unique needs, offered in both English and Spanish. Sessions are available online or in person.
My life coaching services are designed to help individuals and groups unlock their full potential. I work with business achievers and teams to maximize performance, build resilience, and overcome behavioral barriers to success. Whether you are addressing specific challenges or striving for personal or professional growth, I am here to support your journey toward success and well-being.
